Men shot and blinded in ‘unprovoked’ drive-by shooting in Queens

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Two men were shot and blinded by drive-by shooters who opened fire on them unprovoked on a Queens street, police said Tuesday as they released footage of the suspects’ vehicle.

The victims—ages 56 and 43—were sitting inside a vehicle at the northeast corner of the Douglaston Parkway and the Long Island Expressway in Douglaston around 11 p.m. on Oct. 5 when they were fired upon.

As a light-colored sedan passed their vehicle, two people inside of it fired 20 shots at the victim’s vehicle, striking both of them, police said…
