CLEVELAND, Ohio – Toledo freshmen Mercy Kinyanjui and Dominic Serem were named the Mid-American Conference Women’s and Men’s Cross Country Runners of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday morning. This is the second-straight week Kinyanjui and Serem have been awarded the honor. Kinyanjui led the Toledo women’s cross country team in the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals race on Saturday, Oct. 19 in Madison, Wis. The Kiambu, Kenya native placed 17th overall out of 251 runners in a nationally competitive field with a final mark of 19:51.00 as the Rockets took 19th in the team standings.
