Every year, thousands of people lose their jobs due to budget cuts to keep the business profitable, which is a conversation that could bring about spirited debates depending on which side you take. Some people say this makes sense as the companies have to continue to be profitable to be successful while others say that some people within the company should be paid less to keep workers around.

Either way, it comes down to where the money is going and how it is being spent. At the current moment, it is easier for many high-level corporate officers to fire or lay workers off to continue to maintain the salary they currently have than to take a pay cut and keep their workers around. Again, it’s their decision but is one that many people argue could be handled differently.

In Michigan, the state has done fairly well with offering jobs for the residents, but it has been in an interesting position since the COVID-19 pandemic which changed the economic landscape of the country. Since the economy has yet to recover, there have been more and more people losing their jobs while companies try to salvage their numbers…
