Interest meetings for CMCSS Teacher Residency program Nov. 7 and 14

CLARKSVILLE, TN − The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System will hold informational sessions for the community for those interested in participating in the Teacher Residency Pathways. Applications will open in mid-November for the next set of teacher-resident programs.

Those interested in pursuing a degree or certification in education can attend one of two sessions.

On Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 5:30 p.m., leaders in the Teacher Residency Program will discuss the three-year pathway for those who do not currently hold a bachelor’s degree. While in the program, applicants will pursue a degree and license to teach elementary grades K-5 and special education intervention through a three-year program. Residents will take courses at Nashville State Community College and Austin Peay State University. Selected candidates will also be compensated while working as CMCSS educational assistants throughout the program…
