In Carlsbad’s latest family-friendly venture, a unique space catering to children and their guardians is set to open next month. Sandiego Eater reports that ‘Kids & Coffee’ will transform 11,500 square feet of former office quarters into an indoor playground with a café and lounge area where local roaster Mostra Coffee will provide a full espresso and coffee menu.

‘Kids & Coffee’ founders Vivian Ho and Ken Li spoke to the demand for a risk-free play environment that emerged during the pandemic as they juggled working full-time with parenting. According to Kids & Coffee, their vision was to forge a nature-inspired play space that also served as a community hub. Specifically designed for children’s early development, the venue promises a combination of play with a supportive environment for caretakers.

Spanning multiple engagements for kids and adults alike, the Carlsbad hub plans to feature not just playground elements such as a mini grocery store and parkour structures but also educational programs.
