Penn State Police Dragged In Hit-Run In Hershey: Affidavit

James Tyler Magaha, 34, of Granville, Tennessee, turned himself in on felony charges of Attempted Murder and Leaving the Scene of a Crash Involving Serious Bodily Injury filed against him by the Derry Township Police Department on Friday, Oct. 18. The charges were filed in connection with the road rage incident on Park Avenue in Hershey on Sunday, Oct. 6 around 9:40 p.m.

During the incident he ran into and over then dragged off-duty Penn State University’s Harrisburg Campus Police Lieutenant Juan Castro, Jr. before fleeing, according to the release.

Magaha, and a yet to be identified woman, had just come from Sheetz after a day at Hersheypark, the police explained in the affidavit citing surveillance videos…
