PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) – There’s a new proposal to keep Amtrak’s Adirondack train moving full speed ahead.
Amtrak plans to reduce roughly 20 percent of its service in early November to repair one of the tunnels in New York City. That means fewer trains and longer wait times for those taking the service.
However, the consulting firm AmeriStarRail has a potential solution. Their plan includes delaying construction until at least January and turning the service into just one line that goes from Montreal to Washington D.C…
