Maryland man allegedly breaks headrest of PSP cruiser outside McConnellsburg following arrest for his fourth DUI in 10 years

22 October 2024- A Brooklyn, Maryland man is facing two felony DUIs and more charges after allegedly pulling into a random woman’s driveway outside Warfordsburg over the weekend. Juan Antonio Rodriguez Paredes remains behind bars on $35,000 bail after being charged with felony DUI of the highest rate of BAC on a fourth offense or more, felony DUI unsafe driving on a fourth or subsequent offense, misdemeanor defiant trespassing, misdemeanor institutional vandalism, and three summary traffic violations.

PSP Troopers from McConnellsburg were called to a home on Heavenly Acres Ridge Road in Thompson Township, Fulton County around 9:32pm for a man sitting in the driver seat of a car, parked in a driveway that wasn’t his own. The caller reportedly told dispatch that they asked the unknown man to leave but he refused. That man, eventually identified as Juan Rodriguez Paredes, was reportedly heavily intoxicated and multiple bottles of alcohol were found inside of his black Lincoln Navigator.

When Troopers found Rodriguez Paredes, they say that he had a strong odor of alcohol coming from him and was having difficulty balancing once he was woken up. When the had initially arrived, Troopers say that Rodriguez Paredes was asleep and slumped over his steering wheel. An interview with the homeowner reportedly saw her asking Rodriguez Paredes park in the drive way for about five minutes before she approached him and asked him to leave.
