More dry weather ahead…when rain chances return to Southeast Georgia, Lowcountry

This month may end as one of the driest Octobers on record for the Savannah area. So far October has only produced 0.02″ of rain.

The driest October on record occurred 24 years ago in 2000 when only a trace of rain occurred. With only isolated showers in the forecast now through the end of October, there is a good chance this month finishes in the top 10 driest Octobers on record.
