Police blotter: Dumpster diving, Facial injuries, Monday arrest and more

Dumpster diving

At about 9:15 p.m. on Monday, an officer was out patrolling in the 800 block of South Wyoming Street. In the area was a car parked in the middle of the street with two women nearby digging through a dumpster.

One of the women was Alicia L. Murrin, 44, of Butte. She had a warrant for her arrest for violating release conditions. She also had a Montana Highway Patrol warrant and was taken to jail.

Facial injuries

Officers were dispatched to a residence at about 1:20 p.m. Monday in the 1900 block of Texas Avenue to investigate a disturbance between a man and a woman. When the police arrived, the woman had significant facial injuries.

The woman told officers that Gary R. Jones, 55, of Butte had also attacked her while she was driving and he was a passenger. He also reportedly obstructed her airway…
