Man alleges harassment from Danielsville Police Department

At around 1:57 p.m. on Oct. 16, a man called the Athens-Clarke County Police Department to report alleged harassment from the Danielsville Police Department. The caller claimed that he had previously been arrested by the DPD for terroristic threats and that they had been harassing him since then.

The caller said that, earlier in the day at a Jetts Car Wash, a DPD officer waved him to approach his car. The officer was friendly until the caller said he would use his money and influence to dissolve the DPD. The caller alleged that the officer then threatened to arrest him or, if not arrest him, put him in a casket.

The complainant stated that he had a video of the encounter, but that the video did not include the threats. The ACCPD officer gave the caller his email and told the caller to email the video to him, but, by the end of the day on Oct. 16, the officer still had not received a video from the caller…
