On Saturday, Oct. 26, Athens Area Humane Society will host Mutt Strut: “Best” in Show Dog Show, open to the dogs, their owners and the public.
The community event will take place at the Athens Area Humane Society’s facility at 1030 Mitchell Bridge Road from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will feature food, drink and craft vendors present throughout the day, and attendees can also receive therapy from the Humane Society’s puppies in the form of kisses and affection, as well as participate in a raffle.
Each spring, the Athens Area Humane Society puts on a signature, typically sold-out “kitten shower” for cats and their owners. According to the Humane Society’s Marketing Communications Manager Kelsey Fredriksen, the team felt it was time for the dogs to have their own signature event, too…
