CLEVELAND — We have a big lottery winner as one lucky player just hit the $478 million Powerball jackpot in the latest drawing on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024.
Powerball officials say the lucky lottery ticket was sold in the state of Georgia, but the exact location was not immediately disclosed.
“The lucky ticket holder in Georgia will have the choice between an annuitized prize of $478.2 million or a lump sum payment of $230.6 million,” according to Powerball officials. “Both prize options are before taxes. If the winner selects the annuity option, they will receive one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5-percent each year.”…
