The UNITY ‘24 Black Voting and Power Building National Campaign, “Power of the Ballot: We Will Not Be Erased and We Won’t Go Back!” The Freedom and Joy Bus Tour will be traveling through key battleground states, including Alabama’s newly established 2nd Congressional District, following the successful Allen v. Milligan U.S. Supreme Court decision.

Traditionally, Alabama does not make national headlines during Presidential election years, but with the establishment of the 2nd Congressional District, Black voters in Alabama have an historic opportunity to impact the balance of power in the US Congress by electing a congressional member to represent their interests in Washington. The South Alabama Black Women’s Roundtable and our partners are excited about this occasion to highlight the tremendous voter engagement and outreach work happening in Alabama to inform and motivate voters of the critical importance of this election to protect democracy. The future of all Alabamians is at stake.
