It’s rivalry week in Southeast Texas high school football, and the Beaumont Bowl between West Brook and United is one of the major highlights on the local schedule.
West Brook (3-4) and United (2-5) will battle in a game that splits the city, diving Beaumont football fans into either Bruins or Timberwolves supporters. Although United won last season’s game, West Brook has dominated the overall series.
This is also the first year that the Beaumont Bowl name is officially being used for the rivalry. Here are five things to know about this year’s Beaumont Bowl, which is set for 7 p.m. Friday at Doggett Family Stadium.
