A street corner in Nampa known for galloping horses will soon be the home of something more.

The Nampa Planning and Zoning Commission approved a conditional use permit for an outdoor plaza that would offer food, drinks, and entertainment on a privately-owned, park-like, 0.11 acre parcel at 104 12th Avenue South, at the corner of 12th Avenue South and 1st Avenue South.

Cassie Hoover, representing ALC Architecture, said the “Nampa Container Park” would consist of placing four repurposed shipping containers on the property for “walk-up” food and beverage purchases, as well as a covered amphitheater for live entertainment…
