Actor Jack Merrill Reveals Abduction and Rape by Serial Killer John Wayne Gacy

Actor Jack Merrill, known for his roles in “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Law & Order,” has shared his harrowing experience of being abducted and raped by serial killer John Wayne Gacy 46 years ago.

Gacy, a contractor who performed as a clown, was convicted of killing 33 young men in Chicago in the 1970s. He was executed in 1994.

Merrill, now 65, was 19 when he was abducted by Gacy after leaving the YMCA. Gacy drugged Merrill with amyl nitrate and took him to his home.

At Gacy’s house, Merrill was handcuffed and subjected to a horrific attack. He realized the gravity of the situation and knew he had to remain calm to avoid further harm.

Despite the trauma, Merrill escaped Gacy’s home alive. He kept the incident a secret until Gacy’s arrest in 1978. Merrill has since forgiven Gacy and is sharing his story through a one-man show called “The Save.”
