Single ticket wins $478 million Powerball jackpot and it wasn’t sold in Ohio: Thursday’s lottery results

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A winning Powerball ticket was sold in Georgia for the Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024, drawing and is worth an estimated $478.2 million.

The ticket was purchased at a Quick Mart in Buford, Ga., according to the Powerball lottery. The winning numbers of 2-15-27-29-39 Powerball 20 were selected using the Quik Pik option.

The jackpot is the largest in Georgia history. The winner can choose between 29 annual payments or a lump sum of $230.6 million before taxes…
