Mostly Clear Tonight, Cooler & Sunny Friday

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) – Skies will continue to remain mostly clear west of Bangor this evening. Still some clouds will remain from Bangor and areas east. This will clear out later tonight. Overnight lows will be much cooler than what we have had the past several nights as most will drop into the 30s. There will be the potential for areas of frost across northern parts of the state.

High pressure will pass to our south on Friday. There will be plenty of sunshine with highs that will range from the low 50s north to close to 60° from Augusta south & west. Clouds will return to the region late Friday night ahead of a cold front that will move through on Saturday. This front will bring the chance for a few isolated showers during the later part of the morning. By the afternoon conditions will trend drier and brighter with highs that will be in the 50s. Winds out of the NNW will begin to gust up to 25 mph.

Colder air will move in behind the front for Sunday as highs will remain in the 40s, it will be breezy as NW gusts will reach close to 30 mph. Sunday night into Monday morning will be cold as most locations will drop below freezing…
