In a recent report to Spartansburg Borough Council, the Spartansburg Volunteer Fire Department brought in significant funds during the Spartansburg Community Fair and the gun raffle, both held in September.
In the report, Brad Scouten expressed thanks to all of the volunteers who helped at both the food booth and the bingo stand. The food booth was staffed by department members as well as community volunteers for about 10 hours per day, from Sept. 1 – 7. Every time I stopped in for a burger and iced tea, I ran into another friend. Somehow, I missed playing bingo this year.
