CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — Animals testing positive for rabies have been confirmed in two different South Carolina counties, the South Carolina Department of Public Health announced Friday. A rabid racoon in was found in Charleston and a rabid bat was found in St. Matthews, health officials said.
No people are known to have been exposed to either animal as of Friday afternoon.
