Hickory held on to second place in the Western Foothills Athletic Conference this week with wins over Statesville and Fred T. Foard.
Hickory beat Statesville 3-1 at home on Wednesday to improve to 10-0-1, in the conference, 16-3-1 overall.
The Red Tornadoes will put that record on the line on Monday against the first-place team in the conference, undefeated East Lincoln. The two teams will face off again in the season finale on Nov. 5. Hickory will likely need at least a win and a tie to claim the conference title…
