Cancer has weakened Audrey Moran but Leadership Jacksonville award honors her lasting impact

The toll of cancer has weakened Audrey Moran physically but at a Leadership Jacksonville luncheon that honored her with a lifetime leadership award, she still could bring a crowd to its feet when she talked about leadership values “in these extraordinary times.”

“We must lead with love,” she said. “Love for your community, love for your neighbor, and love for what is possible. When you lead with love, it is never about you. It is about what is best for others.”

About 350 people attended the luncheon Thursday for Moran — most widely known for her “I’m with Audrey” run for mayor in 2011 — to watch her receive the Frederick H.
