DENVER ( KDVR ) — A different suspect is facing charges, including first-degree murder, after a double shooting in Rotella Park killed one and injured another in mid-October.
The 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office announced on Friday the other juvenile from Adams County is facing the following charges:
- First-degree murder – extreme indifference
- First-degree assault – extreme indifference
- Possession of a handgun by a juvenile
- Multiple counts of an aggravated juvenile offender
The DA said that these charges come after a previous suspect was facing first-degree murder, but the charges were changed after new evidence became available.
Double shooting at Rotella Park
On the night of Oct. 12, a double shooting took place at the Adams County park that left a 15-year-old dead and another injured.
A few days later, a juvenile was arrested on multiple charges , including first-degree murder. The sheriff’s office said that suspect was under 13 years old…
