Lodi Man Charged With Multiple Felonies After Calaveras County Traffic Stop Uncovers Firearms and Narcotics

Wallace, CA became the focal point of a drug bust following a routine traffic stop conducted by the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office that escalated into an arrest for narcotics possession. According to a statement from the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office, the stop took place near Highway 12 and Wards Avenue involving 42-year-old Chad Nathaniel Hixson of Lodi, who was discovered to be in breach of probation terms.

During the late-night stop on Sunday, the sergeant and his canine partner, Deputy Titan, approached Hixson’s vehicle, and after confirming he was not abiding by his driving restrictions, the sergeant began a search. The trained K-9 alerted to narcotics at the vehicle, leading to the discovery of a grey backpack filled with drug paraphernalia and illegal substances; among the finds were approximately 3.3 grams of suspected Fentanyl, a loaded handgun, and ammunition, setting off a flurry of charges upon Hixson, as reported by the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office…
