Mount Pleasant, SC – Jacob Woznicki scored his eighth goal of the season for Hofstra, but the Pride spotted Charleston two first half goals in a 3-1 Coastal Athletic Association loss at Ralph Lundy Field at Patriots Point Saturday afternoon. The loss snapped a three-game unbeaten streak for the 18th-ranked Pride.

Hofstra dropped to 10-4-2 overall and 4-3 in CAA action with the loss. Charleston improved to 10-4-2 overall and 4-1-2 in conference action.

The Pride dominated play in the early going but on one of their first sustained offensive possessions, Charleston’s Leonardo D’Ambrosio sent a shot across the goal mouth and inside the far post at the 10 minute mark to put the Cougars up 1-0.
