Texans’ underlying issue could cost them second straight game

The Houston Texans shocked the NFL world in the 2023 season .  Led by a rookie QB in CJ Stroud and a rookie head coach in DeMeco Ryans, Houston won 10 games, won the AFC South, and won a playoff game before being blown out in the Divisional Round against the Baltimore Ravens.

Last offseason, they embraced trying to go all-in around Stroud, who will be on his rookie deal for another couple of seasons.  They were able to acquire players like Stefon Diggs and Joe Mixon, and signed stud defensive end Danielle Hunter in free agency.  Heading into the 2024 NFL Season, this was one of the most talented teams in the NFL on paper.

Well, the Texans haven’t exactly been all that dominant in 2024.  They are 5-2 on the season and do lead the AFC South, but the offensive line has been a huge issue and the team is just barely scraping by their opponents, as their point differential is just +6…
