Two of three Sedalia burglary suspects charged

SEDALIA — A Kansas City woman currently facing charges relating to a pursuit in Johnson County is now charged for a burglary in Sedalia.

The Pettis County prosecutor filed formal charges of stealing and tampering with a motor vehicle against Mykalia C. Butler and Taquoria R. Carpenter Thursday. Butler also is charged with one count of resisting arrest.

A probable cause statement says Carpenter, Butler and an unidentified male suspect were grabbing entire racks of North Face jackets. On their way out of the store the man began shouting threats. All three were arrested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol after the pursuit in Johnson County. 49 items totaling over $4,500 were located in the suspect vehicle…
