Men’s Soccer Falls to Shepherd

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.V.- The West Chester University men’s soccer team (8-5-2, 5-3-0) returned to action on Saturday afternoon at Shepherd (4-8-2, 2-6-0) for the second game of its season series against the Rams. West Chester found itself behind early in the first half and could not crack the Ram defense throughout the afternoon as Shepherd held on for the 1-0 upset victory.

Andrew West gave Shepherd a 1-0 lead just four minutes into the first half on Saturday afternoon, and the Rams made this hold up for a surprising 1-0 victory over the visiting Golden Rams on Saturday.

Finding itself behind by one early, West Chester went to work, trying to find the equalizer, and the Golden Rams ended the first half with an 11-5 lead in shots and a 4-3 lead in shots on goal, but Aidan Houck appeared up to the task, making four saves to keep the one-goal lead intact heading into the break…
