Wildcats Split in Their Meet Against the Hoyas

VILLANOVA, Pa. – Villanova men and women hosted Georgetown. The women got their second win of the season with a score of 215-85 while the men ultimate fell short in a close matchup of 149-151. The Wildcats finished the day with 58 top-three finishes and 21 of those being first place.

Diving got the day off to a solid start for the women’s team with Alexa Fegley sweeping up wins in the 1 meter (247.88) and 3 meter (247.50). Meghan Scott joined Fegley in the top two on the 1 meter, grabbing second with a score of 232.95. On the 3 meter side, Michelle Kasulka and Scott helped the ‘Cats go 1-2-3, taking second and third, respectively, with score of 244.95 and 237.68. Nicholas Jubilee was third in the 3 meter with a 283.28.

Swimming opened with a women’s first-place finish in the 200 medley relay for the A team quartet of Arabella Lee, Carlota Colomer, Martina Lonati and Lainey Quinones in 1:45.15. The men’s A team was able to grab second place showing with Cole Gorsuch, Mikey Thurk, Zach Sutter and Patrick Hemingway finishing in 1:32.65. In the 400 medley relay, both men’s and women’s A teams were able to take first place. The women’s relay had 3:30.42 efforts from Lexi Elkovitch, Riley Kudlac, Colomer and Amylia Higgins. Then men’s relay resulted in a 3:04.89 finish from Thurk, Hemingway, Gavin Peck and Gavin Jones…
