The Helena High volleyball kept pace for the top spot in the Western AA thanks to a four-set win over Missoula Sentinel.
Helena dropped the first set 25-23 to the Spartans, then swept the final three thanks to an incredible 35-kill effort from Birdie Heuiser. The senior also managed a team-highs in digs (12) and blocks (2.5). Ella McCarthy pitched in with eight kills and also 2.5 blocks.
That win, on top of a three-set sweep (25-17, 25-22, 25-21) over Missoula Hellgate earlier in the week has the Bengals 9-3 in the Western AA.
