More than 145,000 Michigan voters cast their ballot on the first day of early voting, according to state officials.

In November 2022, Michigan voters approved a constitutional amendment that gave voters the right to vote early and in person at early voting sites.

This is the first general election where Michigan voters had the option to vote at an in-person early voting site. The law makes is so clerks can offer up to 28 days of early voting.
