Jared Goff predicted to keep historic proficiency going vs. Titans’ defense

After a slow start this season, Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff has been on quite a run lately. Over his last four games, he has completed 83.5 percent of his passes with nine touchdowns, one interception and 144.8 passer rating.

Goff fell just short of having three straight games with a passer rating of 150 or better in Week 7 (140.0). But he did become the fourth quarterback in league history to have three straight games with a passer rating of 140 or better-joining Aaron Rodgers (2011), Kurt Warner (1999) and Roger Staubach (1971). Rodgers and Warner won NFL MVP in the seasons they did that, and Goff is drawing MVP buzz himself right now.

On Sunday, the Lions face a 1-5 Tennessee Titans’ team that shouldn’t give them much trouble. That said, Tennessee has a tough defense that won’t be a pushover for the Detroit offense…
