Warmer and windy ahead with rain chances midweek

Another chilly start but temperatures will be a touch warmer than Saturday, in the mid to upper 60s with sunny skies.

Changes on tap beginning Monday as warmer air moves into the region. Highs on Monday will hit the upper 70s. Winds will also start to ramp up Monday afternoon but increase even more for Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday will hit the 80s with Tuesday looking like the warmer of the two days. We will have to monitor for elevated fire danger, especially on Tuesday, due to the gusty winds, dry vegetation, and low relative humidity.

Our next storm system and cold front arrives Wednesday night bringing rain and maybe a few storms overnight and through Thursday morning. The good news is that rain looks to shift southeast of the region by the afternoon so trick-or-treaters will hopefully have a rain-free evening. Temperatures will be much cooler beginning Thursday with highs back down to the 60s…
