The last Sunday of October 2024 will be very warm across Colorado with highs ranging from the 60s in the mountains to the 70s on the eastern plains and western slope. A few locations along and east of Interstate 25 may even top 80 degrees. The record high today in Denver is 83° set in 2016 and tomorrow’s record is 82°, also set in 2016.

If you have any outdoor plans today or tomorrow it will be dry with partly to mostly sunny skies. It will be breezy at times with a wind blowing out of the south and southwest. That wind will really pick up on Monday creating fire weather concerns, especially on the eastern plains. The National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch for the southeast plains on Monday due to the unusually warm, dry and windy forecast.

Our next storm is currently moving into the Pacific Northwest. It will drop into the Great Basin over the next 24 hours. As long as nothing changes with the speed or track of this system, we should see snow start to fall in our mountains sometime late Monday…
