GERRARDSTOWN – Those driving along Apple Harvest Drive over the past few weeks may have noticed a new sign on the side of the road, like the standard Dollar General sign, but with a little more green. Rather than a normal Dollar General, it’s a Dollar General Market, a new type of store meant to be a one-stop shop for consumers.
Compared to a regular Dollar General, the market has a much larger selection, closely resembling a small grocery store rather than the convenience stores for which Dollar General is known. The increased selections include items such as meats and produce, as well as detergent and other items for the home that one wouldn’t see in a regular Dollar General.
