PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Youth Sports Collaborative (PYSC) is set to host the 2024 PYSC Summit: Sports and Mental Health on November 19, 2024, at Lincoln Financial Field. This significant event promises to bring together a wide array of athletes, experts, and practitioners to discuss the important link between sports and mental health.

Running from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Summit will feature dynamic presentations from influential figures in sports. Among the speakers is former NBA All-Star Jameer Nelson, now the general manager of the Delaware Blue Coats. Joining him are Sinead Farrelly, a former professional soccer player and advocate for athletes’ rights, and Ariana Ramsey, an Olympic medalist with the USA Rugby 7s National Team. Chris Therien, former Philadelphia Flyers defenseman and current podcast host, will also share his experiences.

The event will include a special NFL panel featuring Dominique Curry and Tim Massaquoi, who will delve into the mental health challenges faced by football players.
