Bart Scott on Jets’ loss to Patriots: ‘Disgusted, embarrassed, ashamed’

Hardly a month ago, Aaron Rodgers and the Jets seemed to demonstrate that the long-suffering franchise had finally turned a corner, dispatching their biannual tormentors New England 24-3 with a stunning 400-143 advantage in total yardage.

It’s all gone wrong for New York since then, however, and even a return leg against the lowly Patriots in Foxborough Sunday afternoon couldn’t snap an all-too-familiar, five-game losing skid — New England running back Rhamondre Stevenson converted a decisive 4th and Goal try with 22 seconds remaining to secure a heartbreaking 25-22 New England victory.

One of the most anticipated Jets seasons in recent memory now teeters on disaster with New York currently sitting at 2-6, prompting a strongly-worded rant from former linebacker and current SNY analyst Bart Scott.
