Bears halftime report: Offense struggles, Chicago trails Washington 9-0

The Chicago Bears offense looked like it was finally clicking over the past month, averaging over 31 points per game in the past three games entering Sunday’s matchup with the Washington Commanders. That hasn’t been the case at all in the first 30 minutes at Northwest Stadium.

The Bears managed just 90 total yards in the first half on five drives, two of which were three-and-outs, and six first downs, three of which came on the team’s final drive of the half.

Washington, on the other hand, managed 56 yards and three first downs on its first drive of the game, resulting in one of three field goals in the first half, and accumulated 267 yards on 7.6 yards per play in that span…
