Lohbauer Finished Ninth, Catamounts Fourth at ‘The Robbie’

Owens Cross Roads, Ala. – Senior Elizabeth Lohbauer matched the event’s low round of 3-under par 69 to rally 10 positions on Sunday, the biggest gainer over the tournament’s final 18 holes to lead Western Carolina with a ninth-place finish as play concluded at “The Robbie,” hosted by Lipscomb at the par-72, 6,226-yard RTG Golf Trail at Hampton Cove. Western Carolina came home in fourth place to conclude the fall portion of its 2024-25 fall schedule.

Tied for 19th after 36 holes, Lohbauer charted six birdies on Sunday to counter just two blemishes to shoot 3-under-par. Opening on the back nine, she moved to 2-under par with a pair of birdies through her first six holes until a double-bogey on the par-3 16th relegated her back even. A third birdie on the par-5 17th left her making the turn for home at 1-under par.

On the front nine, the Venice, Fla., product countered a bogey on the par-4 seventh with three birdies including her last coming on the 54th hole to shoot 223. The ninth-place finish was a second Top 10 for Lohbauer this fall, matching her finish at the Tot Hill Invitational…
