Man injured in Mission Valley stabbing: SDPD

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — San Diego police are investigating a stabbing in Mission Valley East Sunday night that left one person seriously injured. The suspect remains at large.

The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. nearby the Mission Valley Trolley Station platform. The suspect, described as a roughly 30-year-old man, confronted the victim before the attack for “sitting next to a handicap person,” SDPD said.

The suspect then stabbed the victim at least twice with a weapon similar to a folding knife, once in the left rib cage area and another time in the thigh, according to police. He fled the scene afterwards.

The victim, identified as a 31-year-old man, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries…
