ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – Showers will hold off until tomorrow afternoon and into the evening with dry conditions returning after that.
High pressure builds in and the associated southerly flow carries with it a warm breeze. The high allows temperatures to warm into the upper 50s to low 60s Tuesday afternoon.
After Tuesday night’s rain overnight lows will be mild with temperatures falling only into the low-50s. Dry conditions are expected for the rest of the week after Tuesday’s afternoon and evening shower and again Thursday. Otherwise strong southerly flow lets temperatures rise to well above average for Wednesday and Thursday. We get highs in the upper-70s.Then drier on Friday and the rest of the weekend.
