Durham Public Schools families with children who live with disabilities are invited to connect with the Durham Advocates for Exceptional Children during their fall meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 29.
The meeting is open to caregivers, educators, administrators, students, support staff, and members of the community. The advocates want to explore how teacher or support services shortages have affected schools, teachers, and students; to address the high suspension rate of students with disabilities; and to set goals toward better outcomes for those students…
