MONEE, Ill. (WGEM) – It was a day of celebration as Netherlands-based Voortman Steel Machinery announced it’s expanding its U.S. headquarters in Monee, Illinois.
“We are working everyday to attract good-paying long-term jobs to Illinois, and we will continue to invest in our people so that we can maintain one of the highest skilled workforces in the nation,” said Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker (D).
The Governor‘s Office said Voortman purchased a 27-acre property and will build a 100,000 square-foot building. Voortman plans to invest $51.4 million in the project…
