Hollywood Mourns the Loss of Beloved Actress Teri Garr
Michael Keaton, who starred alongside Teri Garr in “Mr. Mom,” paid tribute to the late comedian in an emotional Instagram post.
“Forget about how great she was as an actress and comedienne. She was a wonderful woman,” he wrote.
Garr passed away at age 79 after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. The Oscar-nominated actress began her career with small roles in Elvis Presley movies and went on to star in iconic films such as “Young Frankenstein” and “Tootsie.”
Industry Peers Share Their Grief
“Friends” star Lisa Kudrow, who worked with Garr on the show, described her as a “huge influence” and “a comedic acting genius.” Former late-night host David Letterman called Garr one of his “all-time favorite guests.”
Director Paul Feig and Monkees member Micky Dolenz also expressed their sadness on social media. Feig praised Garr’s talent and kindness, while Dolenz recalled her “infectious smile and charisma.”
