Shots fired outside of University of Bridgeport building

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — The University of Bridgeport is under lockdown on Tuesday night after shots were fired outside of a campus building, according to the Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

Police said that the incident happened outside of the Marina Cafeteria, which is a dining hall. The shooting victim has been transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Preliminary information suggests that the two parties involved knew each other, and there is no immediate threat to the campus, according to Bridgeport police. Both the suspect and the victim are not University of Bridgeport students…
