NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.– Monday night, October 28, at approximately 8:15 p.m., a fire alarm was activated on the third floor of Eichenauer Dormitory.
“Public Safety immediately responded and based on reports of smoke being visible on the third floor, the fire department was dispatched,” Phillip Lenz, Director of Public Safety said.
The fire department dispatched about six trucks to the scene. There were no injuries reported.
Students were barred from entering for an hour, and upon approval to return to rooms around 9 p.m., Resident Life and Public Safety immediately began to search the rooms. All rooms were unlocked to check for signs of smoke and fire…
