A man who claimed to have an incendiary device robbed a South Burlington credit union Tuesday, the fourth time since Saturday that an area bank has been robbed.
Police in South Burlington said the man entered the East Rise Credit Union on Shelburne Road around 4:45 p.m. and demanded money, saying he was armed with an incendiary device. Bank workers gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash before he fled.
Police have released still images of the suspect and are asking for help in identifying him.
Investigators are also exploring the ‘probability’ that the robbery may be connected to two other recent bank robberies in the area…
