Ohio Man Convicted Of Human Trafficking After Teen Girl Rescued In Georgia

An Ohio man has been found guilty of human trafficking charges in Georgia after a multi-agency effort led to the rescue of a 16-year-old victim.

Attorney General Chris Carr announced that Anthony Charles Holmes, 33, of Cleveland, Ohio, was convicted of trafficking a 16-year-old girl from South Carolina to Atlanta for commercial sex. The victim, who had been reported missing, was rescued during a traffic stop initiated by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office on August 2, 2023.

Following a five-day trial, a Greene County jury found Holmes guilty on October 21, 2024, of numerous charges, including Trafficking of Persons for Sexual Servitude, Trafficking in Cocaine, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
