Wanted suspect shot in Gahanna after deputies attempt to serve arrest warrant

GAHANNA , Ohio ( WCMH ) – A wanted suspect was shot Wednesday morning by deputies who were serving an arrest warrant.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, one person has been hospitalized after being shot by deputies. A SWAT unit was serving a warrant at 825 Tech Center Drive, which is being renovated into the Gahanna Municipal Complex.

The suspect is listed in critical condition, though the injury appears to be non-life threatening, the sheriff’s office said. Police said a conflict between the suspect and sheriff’s deputies led to the shooting, and a gun was recovered at the scene.
